Moulton Joins CPC, CBC, and CAPAC in Demanding Trump Fire DHS Secretary Kristi Noem

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) joined the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), and the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), in condemning the escalating abuse of power by immigration enforcement agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and called on President Trump to fire DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

Congressman Moulton recently traveled to Minnesota, where he met with local leaders and families impacted by federal immigration raids. "What's happening there is a gross abuse of power, directed from the top," said Moulton. "We've seen American citizens killed, evidence withheld, and agents acting without accountability. It has to stop."

In the letter, Moulton and his colleagues made the following demands:

  1. Fire DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
  2. An immediate suspension of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota.
  3. Suspend abusive ICE and CBP practices nationwide and a full independent investigation into all recent use-of-force incidents.
  4. A comprehensive investigation by the DHS Office of Inspector General into ICE and CBP conduct, including use of force, evidence handling, and interference with state and local criminal investigations.
  5. Mandatory and timely cooperation with state and local law enforcement in all cases involving injury or death caused by federal agents, including full preservation and disclosure of evidence.
  6. Clear, enforceable limits on ICE and CBP operations to prohibit warrantless home entries, indiscriminate street encounters, and enforcement actions lacking probable cause.
