CLEVELAND - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in partnership with Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and participating airlines, is proud to announce the availability of TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID at CLE's newly expanded Central Security Checkpoint. This cutting-edge biometric technology allows eligible TSA PreCheck members to experience a faster, more seamless identity verification process without needing to present a physical ID or boarding pass at the security checkpoint.

TSA PreCheck Touchless ID uses advanced facial comparison technology to verify a traveler's identity in seconds. Passengers simply look into a camera at a dedicated lane, where their live photo is securely matched against their stored passport. This touchless process enhances security while providing a more efficient and convenient screening experience for enrolled travelers.

"Bringing TSA PreCheck Touchless ID to CLE marks another step forward in modernizing airport security and improving the passenger journey," said Daniel Narowitz, TSA's deputy federal security director for Ohio. "We are excited to offer this cutting-edge option to our travelers, reducing wait times and leading to a more streamlined security screening process."

The feature is available to current TSA PreCheck members flying out of the newly expanded Central Security Checkpoint with Alaska, American, Delta, Southwest and United Airlines. Central Security Checkpoint now features two additional screening lanes for a total of four and an expanded queueing space of more than 300 linear feet to accommodate passengers going through the checkpoint.

To use TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, eligible passengers must opt in through their airline's app or profile (where supported) and ensure their TSA PreCheck Known Traveler Number and valid passport information are on file. A TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator will appear on the mobile boarding pass for qualifying flights.

Travelers are reminded to carry a physical ID as a backup, as requested by TSA officers when necessary. Enrollment in TSA PreCheck is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents via tsa.gov/precheck.

This expansion at CLE supports TSA's ongoing efforts to deploy TSA PreCheck Touchless ID at airports nationwide, delivering greater convenience and efficiency for millions of passengers. For more information about TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, visit www.tsa.gov/touchless-id.

For the month of May, TSA is offering a limited time "$20 Take Off" promotion for new TSA PreCheck applicants age 30 and under. Until May 31, eligible travelers can save $20 on their first five-year membership. To learn more and enroll now, visit www.tsa.gov/precheck.
