Caldecott Tunnel Westbound State Route 23 (SR-24) Overnight Closure of Bore #3

Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans is slated to close the Caldecott Tunnel Bore 3 on westbound SR-24 overnight in Alameda and Contra Costa counties on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the closures will start at 10:00 p.m. and end at 4:30 a.m. the following morning. These closures are necessary for circuit breaker services and routine maintenance. All other tunnel bores in both directions will remain open to traffic. Please be aware that this schedule depends on weather conditions and may change.
