Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs meets with Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence of Finland on the sidelines of the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Meeting

On 5 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a discussion with H.E. Mr. Pasi Rajala, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence of Finland, on the sidelines of the 32nd Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ministerial Meeting in Vienna, Austria.

The Vice Minister commended Finland's successful Chairpersonship of the OSCE and expressed readiness to co-host the Asian Conference in 2026 on combatting online scams. Both sides discussed ways to enhance Thailand - Finland cooperation in vocational education, green transition, and renewable energy. The Thai side sought Finland's support for Thailand - EU FTA negotiations, the visa cascade system for Thai frequent travellers, and Thailand's accession to OECD membership. Both sides also stressed the importance of enhancing efforts to combat transnational crime, as well as cooperation in the multilateral frameworks, particularly within ASEAN. The Vice Minister invited high-level representatives from Finland to attend the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams, to be hosted by Thailand during 17 - 18 December 2025 in Bangkok.
