One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

Tuolumne County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic controls in place for construction and maintenance work on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-108 within Tuolumne County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control between Montezuma Road and Woods Way for drainage work beginning Sunday, August 9, through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 108

  • Overnight one-way traffic control between Coffil Road and East Long Barn Road for a striping operation beginning Sunday, August 9, through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control near Peaceful Oak Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Old Strawberry Road and Lyons Dam Road for utility work beginning Tuesday, August 11, through Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Old Strawberry Road and Forest Route 4N12 for drainage work beginning Monday, August 10m through Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Closure Gate #1 and County Road for electrical work beginning Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Kennedy Meadows and the 7,000-foot elevation marker for electrical work beginning Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
