Today (4.10) - Super Bowl champion, Heisman Trophy winner, and golf enthusiast Reggie Bush announces the United Athletes Tour (UAT), a premier golf league that will bring elite professional athletes together in a dynamic crossover experience that blends competition, access, and authentic connection. Designed to keep the competitive spirit alive in a fun, high-energy setting, the UAT creates rare, inside-the-ropes moments while fostering meaningful relationship-building on and off the green. The Tour exists to empower professional athletes as storytellers and leaders, creating a new sports and entertainment platform for the next generation of golf enthusiasts. Beyond his accomplishments on the field, Bush has built a reputation as a disciplined and forward-thinking business leader, with a focus on long-term value creation across sports, media, and brand partnerships. The United Athletes Tour reflects that vision, designed as a scalable platform that can grow into a lasting institution within the global sports ecosystem.
Alongside the announcement of UAT, Bush announces the inaugural event at Torrey Pines Golf Course in Bush's hometown of San Diego, CA. The experiential sporting event is set to commence on June 24, 2026. A list of participating players will be announced in the coming weeks. The event will kick off with The UAT Celebrity Pro-Am on June 25 and the competition will begin on June 26.
The Torrey Pines Tournament serves as an opportunity to introduce the league to fans, investors, sponsors, and media companies. The format combines co-ed, team match play, best ball scoring, and elimination brackets. Teams will consist of four players per roster, competing in purpose-built events, so each participating elite athlete can bring the same intensity, focus, and drive that defined their careers on the field onto the fairway.
UAT is created to help engage the next generation of golf fans, aiding in elevating golf into modern culture by blending sport, entertainment, and storytelling. Elite athletes have long-needed a powerful second act that recognizes the game may and can be done with them, long before they are done with the game. UAT empowers both retired athletes and current players pursuing their passion in other sports ahead of retirement with equity, ownership, creative control of their brands, content, and philanthropy, while creating inclusive competition.
Golf continues to experience strong global momentum, with participation, viewership, and commercial investment all trending upward. The sport's unique combination of accessibility, longevity, and premium audience demographics has made it one of the most attractive platforms for brand partners and investors. As new formats and experiences emerge, UAT is positioned to tap into this growth by bringing a fresh, athlete-driven model to an already powerful and expanding market.
"Competition has always been a part of who I am, and golf became a new way for me to channel that energy beyond football," shares Reggie Bush. "With the United Athletes Tour, we're building something entirely new-a platform where elite athletes can continue to compete, connect, and tell their stories in a different arena. This is about creating opportunity, ownership, and a true second act for athletes who still have so much to give. Bringing our inaugural event to Torrey Pines, in my hometown of San Diego, makes this moment incredibly special. We're blending sport, culture, and entertainment in a way that hasn't been done before, and I'm proud to help lead that vision."
Bush will serve as Chairman, and has appointed Len Brown (former Chief, Global Business Ventures to the PGA TOUR) as Chief Executive Officer. Strategic development of UAT has been supported by Tamika Tremaglio, Global Leader of Sports at Secretariat, who previously served as Interim President of UAT, and by Virginia Keller, who serves as Chief of Staff to Reggie Bush. Together, Bush and Brown are assembling a seasoned leadership team and advisory network with deep experience across professional sports, media, finance, and operations, positioning UAT for disciplined growth and long-term sustainability. The Advisory Board will include Michael Strahan (former professional football player and Good Morning America host), Terrence C. Murphy Sr. (former NFL wide receiver and CEO of Terrence Murphy Companies), Tamika Tremaglio (Managing Director at Secretariat, who formerly served as the Executive Director of the NBPA), Rory Wilfork (SCS Financial Executive), and Jim Wilkinson (Executive Chairman, TrailRunner International).
