APCO International Re-Opens Working Group to Revise Joint AACN Vehicle Emergency Data Set Standard

APCO seeks additional working group members to revise the APCO/NENA American National Standard (ANS) Advanced Automatic Collision Notification (AACN) Vehicle Emergency Data Set (VEDS). This is an extended application period to solicit work group members who are public safety equipment and product users and those with a general interest in this topic.

The revision will address ongoing opportunities for telematics service providers to use a consistent, predefined structure when delivering data to the emergency communications centers (ECCs), creating a more efficient emergency response.

The deadline to sign up is April 13. To apply, complete the online application. Participants in an APCO standards working group will earn points toward their Registered Public-Safety Leader (RPL) recertification and receive recognition for their contributions to the final published standard.
