Bronco Welcome: call for programs and volunteers

Bronco Welcome, the university's signature event for new and returning students, is set to begin Aug. 18, 2026, and all of campus is invited to help welcome students. Departments that want to host welcome activities to inform students of important resources and encourage community and belonging can create events in their CampusGroups page or complete a Bronco Welcome event registration form. Activities will be highlighted on the Bronco Welcome website for students looking to connect to campus and one another.

Students, faculty and staff are also encouraged to sign up to volunteer to create a welcoming atmosphere during the first weeks of the semester.

Those that would like to purchase Bronco Welcome t-shirts can submit an order form by July 27. Shirts are $12 each and are perfect to wear at volunteer events or department programs at the start of the year.
