On 26 June, members of the Industrial Alliance for Semiconductors came together for the first time since the adoption of the Chips Act 2.0 proposal. Industry leaders, policymakers, and research organisations considered the evolving policy landscape and future of the semiconductors ecosystem, and shared their views on the next phase of Europe's path to technological sovereignty.

The event opened with keynote speeches from Killian Gross, Director for Enabling and Emerging Technologies at the Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), Pierre Chastanet, Head of Unit for Microelectronics and Photonics, and María Marced, Chairwoman of the Global Semiconductor Alliance.

These interventions set the scene for panel discussions, flash talks focused on latest market insights and working group sessions, which gave participants the opportunity to explore areas in more detail, including current activities and priorities, and the Chips Act 2.0 proposal.
