Call for student submissions: Blue Galleries 2026 Annual Student Juried Exhibition

The Blue Galleries at Boise State is opening its call for entries to the 2026 Annual Student Juried Exhibition. Undergraduate and graduate students from any major may submit work to be considered. The deadline is midnight May 8, 2026.

Eligibility: Open to all students currently enrolled at Boise State in any major program. Each student may submit one or two artworks made in the last calendar year. Works previously exhibited in any exhibition at Boise State are not eligible.

Entry procedures: Each student (or collaborative pair/group) may enter one or two artworks to the exhibition. Each artwork is represented by a single .jpg image size limit 5mb (for all 2D/3D and installation work) or video (for video/animation/time based work only). Video/animations artworks may be entered with a single mp4 file, compressed to size limit 100mb or smaller. Video artworks will be shown on a monitor or projected if selected. You must enter the artwork title, media, dimensions and insurance value in the text boxes under each file upload. Incomplete entries or those not following these entry procedures will not be reviewed by the juror.

Notification: Artists will be notified about t heir work being accepted (or not) by May 18, 2026.

Exhibition dates: Selected works will be exhibited starting with an opening reception on August 28, 2026 at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through October 28, 2026. The Blue Galleries regular hours are from Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Deadline: Interested students should submit their work by midnight on May 8, 2026.
