Celebrate Gardens Matter Day With the Town of Davie

Event will take place on October 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Robbins Lodge Preserve Park.

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie is excited to host Gardens Matter Day, a free event dedicated to all things gardening on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Gardens Matter Day features fun activities, gardening workshops held by local speakers and hands-on experiences for gardeners of all ages and skill levels.

Gardens Matter Day will take place at the Davie Community Gardens located inside the Robbins Lodge Preserve Park at 4005 S. Hiatus Road. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features engaging outdoor learning opportunities.

Workshops will be hosted by gardening experts who will share their knowledge over a range of topics including:

• Earth Works: Flood and Land Management by Adriana Algeri
• Pest and Disease by Sandy Jones
• Best Strategies for Protecting Your Garden from Iguanas by David Stack
• Benefits of Composting by Alexa Pavan

Additional activities include food trucks, vendor booths and planter kit giveaways. Registration for the event is not required.
