North Port Parks & Recreation is introducing a new early learning program designed to inspire curiosity and support young learners through hands-on play and guided exploration.
Early Explorers is a 6-week, play-based program that encourages children to learn at their own pace while building key developmental skills. Through active play, storytelling, music, art and simple guided activities, participants gain social emotional growth along with fine and gross motor abilities. The program also helps children build confidence and foster a love for learning. Early Explorers will use games and a mix of individual and group activities to build early learning skills such as letter, shape and number recognition while further strengthening fine motor development.
Classes take place on Thursdays from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center from Feb. 5 through March 12. The fee is $40 for the 6-week program and is open to children ages 3 to 4.
Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. Families can learn more and sign up by visiting NorthPortFL.gov/SkillBuilding.
