Severe Weather No Match for Spectrum’s Invincible WiFi and Community Response Trailers

Proactive Support and Fast Recovery

Spectrum's preparation starts long before storms appear on the radar. The Company prepares for all sorts of natural disasters year-round with emergency action plans, response drills and coordination with local officials. Restoration materials are pre-positioned, and teams are ready to assess damage and restore service quickly once it's safe.

During storms, customers receive proactive updates about service disruptions and community WiFi availability. Real-time news and emergency alerts are accessible through Spectrum News channels, apps and the Spectrum Storm Center.

After the storm, Spectrum works alongside local authorities and utility companies to restore service. The Company supports recovery with donations, volunteer events and continuous updates via media, digital channels and direct outreach.

A History of Supporting Impacted Communities

Spectrum'ssupport for customers, communities and employees impacted by severe weather events continues long after service has been restored. Following hurricanes Milton and Helene and the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires, the Company:

  • Contributed more than $4 million in cash, PSA airtime, small business support and in-kind donations to disaster-related relief efforts.
  • Opened more than 170,000 WiFi access points to provide critical connectivity for customers.
  • Led volunteer events, like the home rebuild in Los Angeles, that provide critical resources.
  • Provided emergency response trailers - contained necessities like food, toiletries and medical supplies - for Spectrum employees working in the field to support impacted communities.

Spectrum's commitment to readiness, resilience and recovery helps make sure that customers and communities can stay connected and move forward - no matter what the weather brings.
