PEBB Open enrollment for 2027 begins soon. Find the information you need

October 21, 2026

By WWU Human Resources

The PEBB Open enrollment is a great opportunity for employees to make changes to their plan elections or dependents for the upcoming 2027 plan year. Open enrollment changes take effect Jan. 1, 2027.

Every open enrollment is an opportunity to make changes or review current plan enrollments. It is not a requirement for an employee to make changes if they want to continue their current plan enrollments. The exception to this, is employees who want an FSA or DCAP enrollment for 2027. Enrollment into these Navia plans require annual enrollment during the open enrollment period.

As a reminder, employees are encouraged to review upcoming plan and premium changes for the upcoming year to ensure they are enrolled in plans that still meet their and their dependents needs.

All open enrollment changes must be made via your Benefits 24/7 account! If you have not already, please claim your Benefits 24/7 profile prior to the open enrollment period starting. You can find information on how to do that via the Help with Benefits 24/7 webpage.

Employees need a prior confirmation from a Benefits team member for their 2027 PEBB Employee Enrollment/Change Form to be accepted for open enrollment changes.

REMINDER: Changes you can make during Open Enrollment

During the annual open enrollment period, you can make the following changes via Benefits 24/7:

  • Change your medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Add or remove dependents
  • Attest to the spouse or state-registered domestic partner coverage premium surcharge for 2027 (if required)
  • Waive your medical coverage if you are enrolled in another employer-based group medical plan, TRICARE, or Medicare Part A and Part B

Resources for Open Enrollment

Please utilize the following resources provided by the PEBB program for upcoming open enrollment changes.

Explore PEBB in-person or virtual benefits fair

Employees who have specific questions about health care coverage (i.e. will this insurance cover this procedure, or service) or for those who are thinking of retiring in 2027 and want to know more about the PEBB Retiree plans. Employees who are also thinking about changing or reviewing plans can utilize the resource below to get those answers.

In-person benefits fairs

Speak directly with plan representatives and get your questions answered at benefits fairs happening across the state. Check out the benefits fairs webpage to find locations, schedule updates, and presentation information.

Virtual benefits fair

Skip the traffic and explore your benefits anytime, anywhere with the PEBB virtual benefits fair. Access videos, plan comparisons, and other tools to help you choose the right coverage and learn about any changes to your health plans.

REMINDER: Benefits open enrollment open hours/drop in times

Every year HR Benefits host open house/drop-in times from employees to receive help in person, discuss questions they may have about upcoming changes, or drop off open enrollment forms in person to ensure they have been received. Benefits will once more be hosting several in person, and one virtual open house hours during this open enrollment period. Please see the attached document or the information below for dates.
