Katie Hill is our New Head of Communications

We are delighted to share that Katie Hill is joining The New York Times as senior vice president, global head of communications and external affairs. In this role, Katie will be responsible for leading the company's communications efforts.

David Rubin, Chief Brand and Communications Officer of The New York Times Company and Publisher of Wirecutter, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Katie to the team. As our audience and brand prominence continue to grow, telling the story of The New York Times is more important than ever. She's a poised and experienced communicator who deeply understands the value of independent journalism, and will hit the ground running."

Katie brings two decades of experience at some of the most consequential institutions in American public life. She comes to The Times from the National Football League (NFL), where she served as senior vice president of communications since 2021, directing global communications strategy for the league.

Before the NFL, she spent nearly two decades in communications - serving in the White House and at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, working across health care, education, veterans' initiatives and women's issues. Her background also spans political campaigns, strategic communications firms, and nonprofits.
