September 5th marks International Day of Charity, a day dedicated to celebrating the power of giving and the positive impact charitable organizations have on communities around the world. At KBR, being a good corporate citizen is more than a responsibility. It is a core part of who we are. Across the globe, KBR employees dedicate their time, talent and resources to strengthening communities through charitable giving, volunteerism and outreach initiatives.

Since 2007, KBR has contributed nearly $25 million to support charitable causes around the world, helping improve lives and create lasting positive change. The KBR Charity Golf Tournament has been a cornerstone of these efforts, raising more than $13.2 million for deserving organizations over the past two decades. This year, the tournament celebrates a milestone anniversary while supporting 15 nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful difference in healthcare, education, environmental stewardship, veteran support and community outreach.

Angel Flight South Central

Providing Critical Transportation for Life-Saving Care

The mission of Angel Flight South Central is to help people access critical medical care when distance or transportation challenges stand in the way. Through a network of volunteer pilots, the organization provides free air transportation for medical and humanitarian needs across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. By removing transportation barriers, Angel Flight South Central helps patients receive the care they need when they need it most.

Astros Foundation

Through partnerships with more than 65 nonprofit organizations, Camp For All gives thousands of campers and their families the opportunity to enjoy recreational experiences in a truly inclusive environment designed to remove barriers and foster confidence, connection and joy. One of the things that makes Camp For All unique is its ability to serve campers with a wide range of illnesses, disabilities and special needs. Each week, the camp partners with different nonprofit organizations to ensure as many children as possible can enjoy the traditional summer camp experience, regardless of challenges such as mobility limitations, food allergies or other medical conditions.

Faithful Paws Pet Therapy

Sharing Comfort Through the Healing Power of Pets

Faithful Paws Pet Therapy believes that compassion can arrive on four legs. Through certified therapy dogs, cats and rabbits, the volunteer-run organization provides emotional support and companionship to individuals in hospitals, schools, senior living communities and other care facilities. Their work brings comfort, connection and encouragement to those facing difficult circumstances. KBR has been fortunate to welcome Faithful Paws therapy teams to the KBR Tower for events such as World Mental Health Day and Zero Harm Day.
