(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 6:52 p.m., Peoria Police responded to the 1400 block of W. Covington Court following a home invasion in which the front door was forcibly kicked in, resulting in two individuals being shot.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult males, ages 31 and 29, suffering from gunshot wounds to their legs. Both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated a thorough investigation.
During the investigation, officers located 30-year-old Percy E. Shortly thereafter, police executed a search warrant at the W. Covington Court residence and recovered items consistent with the sale of illegal drugs, including packaging materials, a digital scale, and a large amount of cannabis. A large amount of currency was also seized during the search.
