Happy Father's Day!

This Father's Day, we honor all the fathers whose love, sacrifice, and guidance help shape our families and strengthen our communities.

Scripture reminds us, "The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him" (Proverbs 20:7). Few verses better capture the profound influence of a good father. Through their example, fathers teach the values that sustain both families and our nation-faith, integrity, personal responsibility, perseverance, and service to others.

Whether working long hours to provide for their families, coaching from the sidelines, serving in uniform, or offering wisdom earned through experience, fathers leave a lasting legacy that extends far beyond their own homes. Their greatest gift is often not what they give their children, but the example they set for them every day.

I am especially grateful for the fathers across Arizona's Ninth Congressional District who work tirelessly to build a brighter future for the next generation.

To all fathers celebrating this weekend, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and steadfast love. May you enjoy a blessed Father's Day surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. Happy Father's Day!

Arizona Delegation Submits 250 Copper Pennies to Congressional Time Capsule

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, this week I was proud to lead Arizona's bipartisan congressional delegation in submitting 250 copper pennies for inclusion in the Semiquincentennial Congressional Time Capsule, which will be preserved in the U.S. Capitol and opened on July 4, 2276.

The pennies were selected to represent Arizona's rich mining heritage and its unique role in helping build and power our nation. Copper is one of Arizona's historic Five C's and remains a critical mineral essential to modern infrastructure, manufacturing, energy production, and national defense.

The effort received unanimous support from Arizona's congressional delegation, with members highlighting copper's importance to our state's history, economy, and future. The 250 pennies-one for each year of American independence-serve as a lasting tribute to the generations of Americans whose hard work, sacrifice, and ingenuity built the greatest nation in the world.

As future generations open this time capsule on America's 500th birthday, Arizona's contribution will stand as a reminder of our state's proud copper legacy and the enduring promise of the American Dream.

University of Arizona Selected for USDA New World Screwworm Defense Funding

This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that the University of Arizona has been selected as one of 40 recipients nationwide to receive funding under USDA's New World Screwworm Grand Challenge, a $105 million initiative designed to strengthen America's defenses against this dangerous livestock pest.

I strongly supported the University of Arizona's application and urged USDA to approve the proposal. As the New World Screwworm continues spreading northward through Mexico, the threat to Arizona ranchers, livestock producers, wildlife, and our food supply becomes increasingly concerning. Preventing an outbreak before it reaches our border is far less costly than responding to one after the fact.

The University of Arizona will lead a partnership that includes researchers, Cooperative Extension educators, the Arizona Department of Agriculture, and the Arizona Cattle Growers' Association to improve detection, preparedness, stakeholder education, and response capabilities. Their work will help develop practical tools and strategies to protect Arizona agriculture and strengthen our nation's readiness against this growing threat.

Arizona's ranchers and producers are among the best in the nation. This investment will help ensure they have the resources, information, and scientific support needed to protect their herds, livelihoods, and our domestic food supply from a pest that has the potential to cause significant economic damage if left unchecked.

America's food security begins with agricultural security. We cannot afford to wait until New World Screwworm reaches Arizona before taking action. That is why I was proud to advocate for this funding and why I will continue fighting to protect Arizona agriculture, our ranching communities, and our nation's food supply.

Fauci's COVID Coverup Unravels

This week, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released newly declassified documents that raise serious questions about Dr. Anthony Fauci's role in funding risky coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and shaping the government's response to the pandemic. According to the documents, Fauci directed millions of taxpayer dollars to research now widely linked to the COVID-19 lab-leak theory, while influencing intelligence assessments that dismissed that possibility.

The records directly contradict Fauci's sworn congressional testimony and include whistleblower allegations that intelligence analysts who supported the lab-leak theory faced retaliation for challenging the official narrative. While it is doubtful Fauci will ever face criminal charges or jail time due to Joe Biden's last-minute pardon before leaving office, a pardon cannot erase the facts. It cannot change the truth, and it cannot stop the American people from learning what happened.

After years of censorship, secrecy, and unanswered questions, these revelations reinforce the need for transparency and accountability. The American people deserve the full truth about COVID-19's origins, who funded the research, and whether government officials abused their power to conceal it.

Fauci lied and people died. Accountability begins with exposing the facts, and the truth is finally coming to light.

13 Straight Months of Zero Illegals Released

News reports this week revealed that President Trump has now delivered 13 straight months without a single illegal alien being released into the United States after crossing the southern border illegally. The achievement underscores what I have said all along: enforcing our laws works. Border encounters have plummeted, catch-and-release has been ended, Millions of illegals are being deported, and the world once again knows that America's borders are not open.

This is a remarkable turnaround from the previous administration's open-border policies, which allowed millions of illegal aliens to enter our country and fueled an unprecedented border crisis. President Trump's America First policies have restored order, strengthened national security, and put the interests of American citizens ahead of those seeking to enter our country unlawfully. The lesson is simple: when Washington has the will to enforce the law, the border can be secured.

Let Trump Govern!

The latest fight in Washington isn't really about nominees. It's about whether President Trump will be allowed to govern.

For generations, presidents of both parties used recess appointments to fill key administration positions when the Senate was away from Washington. President Clinton made 139 recess appointments. President George W. Bush made 171. President Obama made dozens more.

Then Donald Trump arrived. Suddenly, the Senate stopped taking meaningful recesses and began holding pro forma sessions designed for one purpose: preventing presidents from using their constitutional recess appointment authority.President Trump made zero recess appointments during his first term and he has made none in his second term as well. The timing is no coincidence.

Washington's Swamp class understands that personnel is policy. Every vacant position means another unelected bureaucrat remains in charge. Every delayed confirmation slows the implementation of the agenda Americans voted for.

President Trump was elected to secure the border, restore American energy dominance, rebuild our military, and put American workers first. Those policies cannot be fully implemented if key positions remain vacant while the Senate drags its feet.

This is bigger than any single nominee. It is about whether elections still matter. When voters choose a president, they are choosing an agenda. The Constitution provides tools for the president to staff his administration and carry out the will of the people.

The same Washington establishment that spent years trying to stop President Trump now seeks to slow-walk the officials needed to implement his America First agenda. The American people voted for change. President Trump should be allowed to put his team in place and deliver it.
