FBI Issued Email Scam Alert

The City of Pomona wants you to stay informed and safe from scams impersonating government officials. Please carefully read the information below.

Email Scam Alert

The FBI has alerted the City of Pomona of nationwide scams impersonating government officials requesting permit fee payments via email. The email is very detailed with project address, application/permit numbers, project description, etc.

Please look out for emails requesting payments with an invoice attached, and be especially cautious when emails are not coming from an "@pomonaca.gov" email address.

What Should You Do?

Do NOT make payments based on unsolicited email requests. Please call your City staff project manager directly to verify any payment requests before proceeding.
