Operational Resilience Training boosts quality EUMAM UA training

Participating in the training were, among others, soldiers responsible for preparing recruits for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

War is not only a physical challenge, but above all, it places a tremendous strain on the human psyche. The aim of the training was to equip participants with specific tools and knowledge in the following areas:

• Psychological First Aid - how to support comrades-in-arms directly on the front line.
• Emotion Management - ​​techniques to avoid Acute Stress Reaction (ASR) in critical situations.
• Coping with Grief - Processes Essential for Maintaining Operational Efficiency Despite Painful Losses.

This event was the result of close and professional cooperation with the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Polish Military Medical Institute, and the Combined Arms Training Command CAT-C, which coordinates training for Ukrainian soldiers as part of the EU mission EUMAM UA.

Exchanging experiences with our partners allows CAT-C to implement the highest standards of psychological care.

The EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend Ukraine's territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders and to deter and respond to possible future military offensives by Russia and other potential aggressors. EUMAM works closely together with all other like-minded international partners to provide training support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. EUMAM is open to the participation of third states. All mission activities are located on EU soil. So far, 24 EU Member States have offered training modules and personnel. The training is supported by the provision of equipment for lethal and non-lethal purposes to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This equipment is provided by Member States and funded by the European Peace Facility.
