ATLANTA (June 30, 2026) - Cox Media Group (CMG) today announced that it has hired Danny Bortnick as Vice President, Local Revenue and Client Growth for CMG Radio, reinforcing the company's strategic focus on strengthening client partnerships and accelerating revenue growth for both CMG and its clients. Bortnick will join CMG on July 13.
In this newly created leadership role, Bortnick will partner with market leaders and sales managers to drive local customer and revenue growth. He will work with cross-functional teams to align client engagement and revenue strategy, focused on long-term growth through strong client relationships and innovative solutions. He will also focus on enhancing CMG Radio's high-performing, client-first sales organization, advancing sales enablement, and ensuring consistent execution across markets.

Bortnick brings more than two decades of experience leading sales organizations across major media companies, including iHeartMedia and CBS Radio. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales for Hubbard Radio and 2060 Digital in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he led revenue strategy across multiple stations while rebuilding the team and implementing new tools to modernize the local marketplace approach.
Throughout his career, Bortnick has built a strong reputation for developing talent, leading organizational transformation, and driving consistent revenue growth through client-centric, data-driven strategies and strong client engagement.
His success and impact have earned him many accolades, including the Washington Business Journal's "40 Under 40," Edison Research's "30 Under 30," and Radio Ink's "Best Managers in America."
