Deputy Clerk Courtney Coe Receives CIMCO Presidential Award for Distinguished Service

Award honors member of organization for service, initiative, and commitment

November 17, 2025 (PEORIA, IL) The City of Peoria is proud to announce that Deputy Clerk Courtney Coe has been selected as the recipient of the Central Illinois Municipal Clerk's Organization (CIMCO) 2025 Presidential Award for Distinguished Service. Coe has worked for the City Clerk's Office since 2019 and has been in her current role since 2021. The City Clerk's Office is the city's official keeper of the public record, supporting open government, civic engagement, and transparency in all city operations.

The annual award honors a member of CIMCO whose service, initiative, and commitment exceed expectations. Recipients are selected by the CIMCO President based on their involvement, reliability, and contributions to advancing CIMCO's mission of promoting efficient clerk operations, fostering collaboration, educating the public, and supporting professional growth.

As Vice President of CIMCO this year, Coe played a key role in organizing significant CIMCO endeavors, such as managing online registration and coordinating speakers for the organization's Back to Basics seminar. Her efforts supported member engagement and strengthened CIMCO's programming for the event.

CIMCO President Nicole Stewart noted that Coe consistently demonstrated initiative, creativity, and reliability. She remained actively involved, asked thoughtful questions, and introduced fresh ideas that enhanced the organization's work. Her willingness to assist as needed and attention to detail were cited as significant factors in her selection.
