ASCO has secured four award shortlistings across three leading business and energy industry programmes in the space of just two months, with recognition spanning supply chain innovation, culture, diversification and overall business performance.
The shortlistings, announced across July and August, recognise success across very different areas of the business:
Finalists were selected by independent judging panels, with each submission assessed against the criteria of its respective award.
Within the energy sector, ASCO has been shortlisted for Innovative Supply Chain Company of the Year at the OEUK Awards. The category recognises supply chain companies that have demonstrated exceptional innovation through technology, processes and partnerships while delivering measurable results.
ASCO's submission showcased innovation across logistics, materials management, warehousing, ports and environmental operations, with a focus on solving operational problems before applying technology. This approach has delivered significant results for customers, including an 80% reduction in materials processing time for a major global energy company and £36 million in savings for a North Sea operator through inventory optimisation.
The entry also highlighted ASCO's Integrated Logistics Management System, iLMS, and its 24/7 Operational Control Centres in the UK and Norway, which bring together logistics, materials, transport, marine, shipping and other operational data to give customers greater visibility and control.
Innovation extends into frontline operations too, including robotic tank cleaning technology that has reduced cleaning time and waste volumes by up to 50% while significantly reducing personnel exposure to confined-space hazards.
ASCO has also secured two shortlistings at the EIC World Energy Supply Chain Awards, in the Culture and Diversification categories.
The awards are linked to the EIC's annual Survive & Thrive Insight Report, with entrants submitting evidence-based case studies demonstrating how they have responded to specific business challenges.
ASCO's two shortlistings recognise important elements of the company's continued development, from building a culture that supports its people and performance to expanding its expertise into new sectors, markets and geographies.
Completing the four is ASCO's shortlist place for Large Business of the Year at the Eastern Daily Press Business Awards.
The award recognises organisations demonstrating exceptional all-round business excellence, with judges assessing trading performance, future objectives, competitive advantage, leadership and evidence of strategies that have delivered measurable growth.
ASCO's submission highlighted the strength of its Great Yarmouth operation, where the company has been part of the local industrial and energy community since 1984. Today, the location serves as ASCO's Southern UK headquarters, with more than 100 skilled professionals, 24/7 operations, eight berths, specialist warehousing and a transport operation comprising more than 50 specialist vehicles.
It also demonstrated the wider performance and growth of the business. In 2025, ASCO returned to profit with £4.4 million profit after tax, while adjusted EBITDA increased by 4% to £27.3 million and headcount grew by more than 7%, supported by contract wins and continued international expansion.
Arriving within weeks of one another, the four shortlistings recognise success across some very different areas of ASCO. Together, they highlight the strength of the business today, the results being delivered for customers and the people behind that success.
