Careers Guernsey has launched a new drop-in careers support hub, which will be open Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. The hub will offer free, impartial advice and guidance to anyone at any stage of their career development.
Careers Guernsey's new drop-in space reflects a commitment to supporting individuals across the Bailiwick - from students and parents exploring subject choices and post-16 pathways, to adults considering retraining, returning to work after a break or making a career change to suit evolving family or lifestyle priorities.
Careers Guernsey, which is part of the States of Guernsey Education Office, provides free tailored career guidance, information on local and off-island opportunities, awareness of learning options and training pathways, and support for individuals to review their skills and experiences and plan their next steps.
By expanding its drop-in offer, Careers Guernsey is ensuring its services continue to be accessible, flexible and responsive to community needs, supporting the delivery of career guidance to all ages.
Sarah Stonebridge, Head of Careers for Careers Guernsey, said:
"Our support goes far beyond simply talking about jobs. Career guidance helps offer people new opportunities and inspiration and helps them make informed choices based on their individual needs. Not everyone is able to build and manage their career by themselves and career guidance and employability support exists to support everybody to feel more confident with making progress, no matter their age or circumstances. Launching our new drop-in service during National Careers Week is a fitting way to underline that our support is available for all.
"Anyone wanting support can now drop-in, or phone or email. Our team will work with you to review the right support for you and explore what your next steps could look like. We're here to help you move forward with confidence.
"As a dedicated careers support hub, we would also like to encourage businesses and employers to get in touch - we are committed to understanding your workforce needs and supporting the development of our local talent through work related learning and experiences."
National Careers Week is a UK-wide celebration of career development (2 - 7 March 2026), designed to inspire people of all ages to explore opportunities, build confidence and take ownership of their futures. This year's theme, 'Own Your Future', encourages individuals to turn career ideas into clear, practical direction.
