City will host Recycle Rodeo on September 19

The City of Greensboro will offer a one-stop opportunity to recycle and safely dispose of hard-to-recycle household items during its Recycle Rodeo from 8 am to noon on Saturday, September 19, at Evangel Fellowship Church of God, 2207 E. Cone Blvd.

The free event is open to all Greensboro and Guilford County residents and accepts electronics, household hazardous waste, Styrofoam, and sensitive documents for shredding. No business waste will be accepted.

Items to Bring

  • Paper for shredding - Sensitive documents only. There is a five-box limit, and shredding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Household hazardous waste - Batteries, paints, cleaners, pesticides, fertilizer, gasoline, and similar items

  • Electronic waste - Phones, computers, hard drives, monitors, and televisions

  • Styrofoam - Packaging foam, egg cartons, takeout containers, cups, coolers, and plates. Items must be free of tape and labels.

Collected items will be recycled or safely disposed.
