UPDATE - Aggravated Assault - West Wendover Avenue

GREENSBORO, NC (April 1, 2026) - A 52-year-old woman remains in the Guilford County Jail without bond this morning after being arrested in connection with a stabbing incident Tuesday night.

Greensboro Police were dispatched at approximately 7:25 p.m. Tuesday about an altercation in the parking lot of Walmart in the 4400 block of West Wendover Avenue. Officers located a woman suffering from a stab wound, and she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

GPD's Violent Crime Reduction Team located the suspect's vehicle on Big Tree Way and took Tokyia Brown into custody. Brown is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

This is an active investigation. Additional details, such as a possible motive, are not immediately available for release.
