NDEAM 2026: Celebrating Value and Talent

Overview

This October, the Iowa Department for the Blind (IDB) is proud to join the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy in celebrating the 81st anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). This nationwide observance honors the many contributions people with disabilities make to America's workplaces and economy. This year's theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent," carrying the spirit of last year's celebration forward through 2026 in honor of America's 250th birthday.

Client Spotlights

At IDB, we celebrate the skills, talents, and achievements of our clients year-round. During October, we're excited to shine an even brighter light on their successes. Throughout the month, we will feature weekly client spotlights, sharing stories that demonstrate how, with the right training and tools, everyone can achieve independence and employment.
