City of Alexandria to Mark 25 Years since September 11 with Remembrance Ceremony

Join the City of Alexandria as we remember, reflect, and commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The City will host a remembrance ceremony on Friday, September 11, at the Alexandria Police Department (APD) Headquarters (3600 Wheeler Ave.) from 10 to 11 a.m.

The City's 25th annual remembrance ceremony will honor the victims, survivors, first responders, and all who were affected, and will recognize those who risked or gave their lives responding to the attacks to save others.

Join City officials and staff for a presentation of colors, remarks by Mayor Alyia Gaskins and public safety officials, and a return to quarters ceremony.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside APD Headquarters.
