DWC updates pathology and clinical laboratory fee schedule to reflect additional Medicare changes effective October 2026

The Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) has posted an order updating the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to align with Medicare payment system changes, as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.

The order adopts Medicare's fourth-quarter 2026 updates to the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule and applies to services provided on or after October 1, 2026.

The California Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Workers' Compensation monitors the administration of workers' compensation claims and provides administrative and judicial services to help resolve disputes related to claims for workers' compensation benefits.
