Oct. 6, 2025 - The City Council will meet on Wednesday for its regular work and legislative sessions, with an agenda that will include a discussion of the city's legislative priorities for the 2026 General Assembly session in Richmond.
Both meetings will be in chambers on the eighth floor of City Hall, located at 22 Lincoln St. They will be broadcast on the city's TV channel, Cox 47 and Verizon 22, and streamed live at hampton.gov/livetv.
The 1 p.m. work session will include a discussion of the city's legislative priorities for the 2026 General Assembly session in Richmond, as well as an update on Hampton's strategic priorities related to Living With Water.
There will also be a briefing that updates the City Council on the Infill Housing Design Standards and Plan Book, a program that incentivizes builders to construct new homes that fit in with the history and traditional designs of certain Hampton neighborhoods. Click here for details on the program.
After receiving that presentation, the council will vote at the 6:30 p.m. legislative session on amendments to a zoning ordinance concerning the Infill Housing Plan Book.
The council will also vote on appointments to several municipal boards and commissions.
