Karen Toerne and Renee Miner from Boise State's Center for School and Community Partnerships represented the Idaho Special Education Support and Technical Assistance project (SESTA) at Idaho State University's EMPWRing School Leadership Summer Institute in Pocatello.
Toerne presented the session "Case Law Cafe: Building Defensible Special Education Processes" to facilitate educators' understanding from analysis to implementation of special education processes, including application of case law concepts and best practices.
The EMPWRing institute brings together Idaho administrators, school psychologists and community partners for networking and professional development.
Idaho SESTA provides special education resources and training to educators and partners across Idaho, and is housed in the College of Education and Public Service.
