Join the City's Neighborhood Services Department for the New Mitchell Neighborhood Block Party on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the William M. McDonald YMCA. Enjoy free food, music and fun while sharing your feedback on what we can improve in your neighborhood.

Come out and enjoy an afternoon of community building and fun. We want to connect with you and listen to how we can make your neighborhood even better - together. We can't wait to see you there!

The New Mitchell neighborhood was selected for the City's 2026 Neighborhood Improvement Program and includes a $4.3 million transformative project that will follow a three-year timeline. The project includes community engagement and collaborations with external partners and City departments.

The New Mitchell neighborhood is in Council District 8 and is bounded by East Maddox Avenue on the north, Cobb Park on the east, Glen Garden Drive on the southeast, Mitchell Boulevard on the south, and Wichita Street and Highway 287 on the northeast.
