Teacher demand and postgraduate trainee need: 2026 to 2027
This publication shows how many teachers are likely to be needed in England, and how many postgraduate initial teacher training () trainees are needed, for the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
It also compares this with the number of trainees needed in the previous academic year.
This is an expanded version of the previous publication. It includes Excel workbooks that show:
