WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Rep. María Elvira Salazar (FL-27) joined a bipartisan group of 35 House Members, co-led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Jen Kiggans (VA-2), to unveil CommonGround 2025,a new health care framework that protects affordable coverage for hardworking American families.
The plan includes a two-year extension of enhanced Premium Tax Credits (ePTCs) with targeted modifications, ensuring affordable coverage while Congress works on long-term reforms. The goal is simple: prevent families from losing their coverage or facing sudden increases in cost.
"More than 230,000 people in Miami, one-third of my district, rely on ACA credits as a lifeline to afford healthcare," said Rep. Salazar."I hear their concerns, and I am committed to protecting their coverage, keeping costs predictable, and ensuring Miami families can access the affordable, quality care they deserve."
The Members backing the framework have also co-signed a letter urging House and Senate leadership to meet with them to discuss the framework and a constructive pathway forward in both chambers.
The framework and letter, co-led by Reps. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) and Jen Kiggans (VA-2), are also co-signed by Reps.
