Alabama FarmPAC Adds Endorsements Ahead of Nov. 3 Election

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Sept. 28 - The Alabama Farmers Federation's political action committee, Alabama FarmPAC, finalized its voter guide ahead of the Nov. 3 general election with endorsements for John Wahl, lieutenant governor; Andrew Sorrell, state auditor; and Jim Zeigler, Public Service Commission, place 2.

Federation President Jimmy Parnell said it's imperative voters show up to the polls and support candidates who will defend Alabama's conservative values and promote economic opportunity for farmers, families and businesses.

"Low voter turnout in the primaries, runoffs and special election is concerning," Parnell said. "Voter apathy, particularly among conservatives, has made Alabama a target for far-left, national groups seeking to gain a foothold in the southern U.S. Challenging economic times and media reports have motivated liberal voters while many conservatives have stayed home. I'm convinced the majority of Alabama voters support family values, smaller government, lower taxes and less regulation, but we have to make our voices heard Nov. 3. The future of our state and nation depends on it."

Parnell said Wahl, Sorrell and Zeigler met with Alabama FarmPAC executive trustees and county leaders throughout the state during the spring and summer.

"We are pleased to support these public servants," said Parnell. "All three have invested time in getting to know our members and understanding the challenges and opportunities facing farmers, timber owners and rural families. We look forward to working with them to move Alabama forward."
