The Salish Sea Institute is working with community partners to present three short films and a conversation with the filmmaker at two locations Thursday, Sept. 25.

The documentary films, "Call of the Orcas," "Managed to Extinction," and "Shared Waters, Shared Crisis," highlight two iconic, threatened species of the Pacific Northwest: southern resident orcas and the chinook salmon they need for survival.

A Q&A with filmmaker Jessica Plumb will follow the screenings of the films.

See the documentaries Thursday at Blaine Public Library from 3 to 4:30 p.m. or at Whatcom Community College Pavilion 201 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
