Texas Health Resources Recognized on Fortune's 2026 '100 Best Companies to Work For' List

ARLINGTON, Texas - Texas Health Resources ranked No. 34 on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For® list in 2026 - the highest North Texas organization recognized. The system was the only healthcare organization listed in Texas and ranked second in the industry nationally.

This is the 12th consecutive year the organization has been included in the nationwide ranking.

"We're proud to be recognized for a culture that is grounded in respect and support for our people and for our sustained ranking on this list thanks directly to the feedback from our employees," said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health. "By investing in our team members, we strengthen our ability to deliver quality service and innovation to consumers across the communities we serve."

Great Place To Work® and Fortune compile the annual list, which focuses on how employees feel about their workplace. List rankings are based on employee responses and comments to a series of survey questions.

"Our strong culture is rooted in Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together," said Carla Dawson, chief people officer. "We are deeply committed to the well-being of our care team members and continuously invest in programs that support them -body, mind and spirit."

Employees benefit from comprehensive wellness programs, a generous 401(k) with company match and robust mental health resources including free access to the Headscape app for self-guided support. Employees are also eligible for up to eight free face-to-face or virtual visits with a counselor per issue, per year through the organization's Employee Assistance Program.

Texas Health supports employees' career growth through leadership development, mentoring, continuing education and on-the-job skill building, along with student loan repayment and tuition reimbursement for approved degree plans.

Team members who are new parents receive up to six weeks of paid parental leave and, if applicable, an adoption reimbursement of up to $10,000. In addition to paid time off, employees also get an extra flex day off each year to use as they choose and are eligible for a paid day volunteering to support other North Texas nonprofits.

Earlier this year, Texas Health was listed as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026, earning 4.5 stars, according to an analysis by Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group. In 2025, Texas Health was named one of the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine. Texas Health also was ranked No. 1 on the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care list. Texas Health was also ranked No. 3 on the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Texas list - the highest-ranking organization in health care.
