Congresswoman Simon Calls for Impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem
Washington, DC - Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (D-CA-12) released the following statement:
"Last week, ICE shot and killed Renee Good. At the start of this year, four people died in ICE custody. In my own district, ICE enforcement actions have created a culture of fear. These are not isolated events. Under Secretary Noem's DHS, ICE is enacting a campaign of violence and overstepping civil liberties.
"It is a profound failure of leadership and "governance." Secretary Noem must resign or be removed from office. I support congressional action, including the impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, to ensure accountability and justice."
