BUTLER COUNTY, IOWA - U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) nominated Stefanie Kohn of Cedar Rapids to serve on the U.S. Senate Curatorial Advisory Board. Kohn is the Curator at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids. Grassley nominated Kohn in his capacity as U.S. Senate President pro tempore.
"The Senate's Curatorial Advisory Board is a key resource for the Senate Curator's office as they preserve our history and share exhibits, publications and programs with the public. As Senate President pro tempore, it's my honor to nominate an Iowan, Stefanie Kohn, to serve on this distinguished board. As the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library's Curator, Stefanie is more than qualified, and I look forward to her appointment," Grassley said.
The nomination must now be approved by U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) and U.S. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) before Kohn can be appointed. In 2020, Sean Ulmer of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art was appointed to the board after Grassley nominated him for the role.
Background:
