Fischer Applauds Funding for Long-Overdue Peru Levee Repairs

Today, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, released the following statement after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that $43.7 million will be allocated to repair the Peru levee along the Missouri River following the historic flooding in 2019:

"After years of work, I'm extremely pleased the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide over $43 million to repair the Peru levee along the Missouri River. This investment will help protect lives, property, and most importantly, ensure the Peru community is better prepared for future flooding."
