Governor Gianforte Promotes Firearms Industry in Kalispell

KALISPELL, Mont. - Governor Greg Gianforte recently visited Invader Concepts and FALKOR Defense to highlight Montana's growing manufacturing sector and businesses creating high-quality, American-made products in the firearms industry.

"Across Montana, manufacturers are creating opportunities, strengthening our economy, and building world-class products right here at home," Gov. Gianforte said. "The Flathead Valley has become a hub for the firearms and ammunition manufacturing industry. Montana welcomes any 2A businesses to the Treasure State to invest in our communities, create good-paying jobs, and carry on our strong tradition of craftsmanship."

The governor began the day at Invader Concepts, a Montana-based company founded in 2014 that designs and manufactures custom holsters and firearm accessories, along with outdoor sporting products. Founded by Tim Anderson, the company employs 30 Montanans and recently expanded into a new 9,000-square-foot facility.

During the visit, the governor toured the facility and observed the production process, including molding, cutting, buffing, and assembly of their products. All products are made in the United States using high-quality materials and are designed for durability and real-world use.

"Montana is a great place to grow a manufacturing business, and we're proud to build our products here and provide good jobs for our community," said Tim Anderson, owner of Invader Concepts. "From day one, we've focused on quality craftsmanship and building reliable products, and as we've grown, we've been able to invest in our team and expand right here in Montana."

Continuing the day in Kalispell, the governor visited FALKOR Defense. Founded in 2013 and operated by founders Jason and Melinda Sonju, the company designs, engineers, and manufactures precision firearms and firearm components in Montana.

"We're proud to design and build our products right here in Montana, where precision and quality are part of who we are," said Jason Sonju. "As we've grown, we've continued investing in advanced manufacturing and our team, proving you can produce world-class products while creating good jobs here at home."

Montana is home to over 150 innovative firearms and ammunition businesses, the highest per capita in the country.

Since taking office, Gov. Gianforte has signed a number of bills into law to protect the Second Amendment and Montana's firearms and ammunition industry. In 2023, the governor signed into law House Bill 356, sponsored by Rep. Brandon Ler, R-Savage, to establish nondiscrimination protections for the firearms industry. In 2025, the governor signed into law House Bill 809, sponsored by Rep. Braxton Mitchell, R-Columbia Falls, to prohibit local governments from enacting red flag laws that infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
