The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors at its meeting today approved renaming the North Coast Regional Department of Child Support Services to the Humboldt-Trinity Child Support Agency. The new name aligns with federal and state child support naming conventions and more accurately reflects the region where services are provided.
Additionally, the Humboldt-Trinity Child Support Agency is excited to announce its expansion to an additional Eureka location that will provide child support services to the Humboldt County community. The new office is located on the third floor of the Humboldt County Courthouse in room 304, located at 825 Fifth St. in Eureka. Child support services will be provided at this location Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Humboldt-Trinity Child Support Agency now has four offices that offer child support services in Humboldt and Trinity counties.
In addition to the new office at the Humboldt County Courthouse, services will continue to be available Monday through Thursday in its main Eureka office at 2420 Sixth St., Wednesday and Friday in McKinleyville at 1615 Heartwood Dr. and Monday through Thursday in Weaverville, 850 B Main St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that the new courthouse location in addition to the McKinleyville and Weaverville offices are closed for the lunch hour between noon and 1 p.m.
Community members in need of child support services may contact the Humboldt-Trinity Child Support Agency at any of these locations for assistance. Only credit and/or debit cards can be accepted at the new courthouse location and the McKinleyville office at this time, so members of the public are encouraged to plan their visit accordingly. Genetic testing is now available at all locations and those in need of this service should contact their case manager for more information.
