Caldecott Tunnel Eastbound State Route 24 (Sr-24) Overnight Closure of Bore #2

Thursday, October 1, 2026, 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Alameda And Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans is slated to close the Caldecott Tunnel Bore 2 on eastbound SR-24 overnight in Alameda and Contra Costa counties on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the closure will start at 10 p.m. and end at 4:30 a.m. the following morning. This closure is necessary for UPS and Breaker replacement and routine maintenance. All other tunnel bores in both directions will remain open to traffic. Please be aware that this schedule depends on weather conditions and may change.
