At Comcast, recognizing service means more than saying thank you. It means delivering exclusive benefits to military members and families, sharing stories that reflect their experiences, and supporting organizations doing important work in their communities.

"
We want our military members to get more value from the services they use every day. Whether we're helping families save or bringing people together through entertainment, our goal is to provide benefits that make a real difference."
Mona Dexter
Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs at Comcast
This November, Xfinity is giving members a new way to discover military stories with a special entertainment destination featuring movies, television series, and documentaries selected by veterans and military community leaders.
Guest editors include Medal of Honor recipient Clint Romesha, Walt Piatt of Wounded Warrior Project, Lisa Hallett of wear blue: run to remember, and Manny PiƱeiro of the USO. Each brings a personal perspective on military service and the stories that reflect its impact on individuals and families.
"Behind every uniform is a person with a family, friendships, and a story worth remembering," said Lisa Hallett, a Gold Star spouse and co-founder of wear blue: run to remember. "Films have a way of bringing those experiences to life and reminding us that the impact of military service extends far beyond the individual."
The destination also introduces Veterans on Screen, a collection celebrating actors and actresses who served in the U.S. military. Featuring stars such as Adam Driver, Morgan Freeman, Bea Arthur, and Clint Eastwood, the collection connects their military backgrounds with some of their most recognizable work in film and television.
Xfinity members can explore the destination throughout National Veterans and Military Families Month by saying "Military" into their X1 Voice Remote.
Turning appreciation into action also means partnering with trusted organizations to address the needs of service members, veterans, and military families.
Over the past three years, Comcast has provided more than $41 million in cash and in-kind giving to organizations serving the military community.
That support includes donating millions in public service announcement airtime each year to help raise awareness of mental health services, employment resources, educational opportunities, and other support available to veterans and their families.
"One of the biggest challenges is making sure veterans and military families know what resources are available to them," said Eric Eversole, President, Hiring Our Heroes, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. "Comcast's support helps us reach people we might not otherwise connect with, raise awareness of our programs, and make it easier for those seeking assistance to know where to turn."
Service has always been part of Comcast's story. It began with our founder, U.S. Navy veteran Ralph Roberts, and continues today through the opportunities we create, the organizations we support, and the way we turn appreciation into action in communities across America.
National Veterans and Military Families Month gives us an important opportunity to recognize those who have served and their families. But our commitment is built for more than a month. It's how we say thank you all year long.
