Registration open for Poinsettia Parade & Festival entries and sponsor

Published on September 24, 2026

The City of North Port Parks & Recreation Department invites the community to celebrate the holiday season at the Poinsettia Parade & Festival, presented by Quality TV Smart Home & Security, from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at City Center Front Green, 4970 City Hall Blvd.

This year's theme, "Sleigh the Night Away," celebrates the energy and wonder of a holiday evening, with glowing lights and festive music bring the community together. The theme reflects the joy of gathering with neighbors to share holiday "hometown" traditions and celebrate the season.

The festival will feature local entertainment, the Little Elves Craft Workshop, holiday shopping and food vendors, a visit with Santa and the annual tree-lighting ceremony.

The parade will begin at 5 p.m. and travel south along Sumter Boulevard to City Center Front Green. Illuminated floats, decorated vehicles, walking groups and performers will fill the route as businesses, schools and community organizations take part in this longstanding North Port tradition.

Parade Unit Registration
Parade unit registration is open for businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools, clubs and community groups interested in participating in the parade.

Parade entries may include floats, decorated vehicles, walking groups, performers and other creative displays. Whether inspired by a winter adventure, a musical celebration or a journey in Santa's sleigh, groups are encouraged to put their own festive spin on their entries using music, movement and lighting. Each interpretation will help bring this year's theme, "Sleigh the Night Away," to life.
