DALLAS, TEXAS, November 10, 2025-The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) has announced $8.7 million in grants to public housing authorities (PHAs) for the installation of storm-resistant roofs on affordable rental properties. This major investment, through the inaugural FHLB Dallas FORTIFIED Rental Program, is designed to help communities better withstand the impact of severe weather.
Grants of up to $1 million each are designed to bolster the resilience and safety of homes impacted by severe weather conditions.
The awards were made through six FHLB Dallas member institutions to 10 housing authorities across four states:
