Fact sheet: EU-Türkiye vehicle trade

Türkiye is now the third largest market for new EU vehicle exports. In terms of value, it accounted for 11.1% of the EU export market in 2025, up from 8.3% in 2024.

This fact sheet examines vehicle trade flows between the EU and Türkiye, including battery-electric cars and the production origin of cars sold in the country.

  • EU vehicle exports to Türkiye increased by 24.8% in value to €18.8 billion in 2025
  • Türkiye accounted for 11.1% of the EU vehicle export market
  • EU car exports to Türkiye totalled 713,476 units, valuing €15.6 billion
  • 17.4% of EU-made car exports to Türkiye were battery-electric
  • EU-made cars accounted for 49% of Türkiye's car sales in 2025
