TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces overnight multi-lane closure on I-95 northbound (Monday) for overhead sign work, multi-lane closures and rolling roadblocks on I-95 southbound (Tuesday through Thursday) for overhead sign and concrete work, daytime shoulder closure on southbound Rt 896 for concrete work, and overnight lane closures on southbound Rt 896 for concrete work.

· Monday, September 29th: Overnight multi-lane closure, Northbound I-95, from the I-95 Interchange to the Welcome Center (single lane 6PM -7AM, double lane 10PM - 6AM, triple lane 11PM - 5AM)
· Tuesday, September 30th: Overnight multi-lane closure, Southbound I-95, the Welcome Center to the I-95 Interchange (double lane 7PM - 7AM, triple lane 11PM - 5AM), rolling roadblocks(12AM - 5AM)
· Wednesday, October 1st: Overnight multi-lane closure, Southbound I-95, from the Welcome Center to the I-95 Interchange (single lane 7PM - 7AM, double lane 8PM - 7AM, triple lane 12AM - 5AM), rolling roadblocks(12AM - 5AM)
· Thursday, October 2nd: Overnight multi-lane closure, Southbound I-95, from the Welcome Center to the I-95 Interchange (single lane 7PM - 7AM, double lane 9PM - 7AM, triple lane 12AM - 5AM), rolling roadblocks(12AM - 5AM)

· Monday, September 29th through Wednesday, October 1st: Daytime Shoulder Closure, Southbound Rt 896 from Welsh Tract Road to the I-95 Interchange (7AM - 5PM).
· Tuesday, September 30th: Overnight Lane closure, Southbound Rt 896 at the Welsh Tract Road Intersection (8PM - 5AM)
· Tuesday, September 30th: Overnight Lane closure, Southbound Rt 896, from the I-95 Interchange to the Old Baltimore Pike (10PM - 5AM)
