Cary, NC - When disaster strikes, would you know what to do? Are you interested in getting involved with community engagement while participating in education and outreach initiatives? The Cary Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Class can help you prepare for severe weather, including hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and winter storms.
Join the upcoming fall CERT Basic Class September 18-20, at Cary Fire Station 9 (1427 Walnut Street), and learn practical skills to help care for yourself, your family, and your neighbors during the critical days following home emergencies and natural disasters. Training includes disaster preparedness, basic first aid medical care, fire safety and fire extinguisher use, light search and rescue, and disaster psychology. Participants must attend all three days to become CERT certified.
