Hello Defence Team!

National Public Service Week (NPSW) is upon us, and it is our time to celebrate the dedicated public servants who make up National Defence and the Canadian Coast Guard. This week, let's take the opportunity to celebrate our efforts, take pride in all we have achieved, and build momentum as we take on new challenges in the year ahead.

The ongoing theme, Proudly Serving Canadians, continues to highlight the incredible effort the 29,000 + public servants at DND put in, each and every day. Our contributions to Canada in a changing and complex world are truly impactful, and I'm pleased to have the opportunity to once again represent all you do as your NPSW champion.

As civilian members of the Defence Team, our service to our country and all Canadians is recognized and truly appreciated. Beyond just this week, our ongoing demonstration of the values and integrity that come with our roles are a credit to public service dedication and pride in providing services to Canadian here at home and across the globe.

It is such a fantastic time to be a member of the Defence Team: new projects are launching as a result of unprecedented funding in line with NATO 2% commitments, and new priorities are changing the way in which we work. Through it all, our role in making everything possible in the defence of Canada will determine the course for our nation for years to come. Therefore, I encourage you to take time this week to celebrate yourselves, your teams, and the contributions of your colleagues. Organize team activities, and explore #NPSW, #TogetherGC, and #ServCDNs on social media to see how your fellow public servants across the country are celebrating.
